When most of us think of prayer, we think of ASKING. We have a list of things we pray for, whether or not it is a written one, which normally includes our family, friends, and any special situations that have come up in our lives.
Many of us grew up with the idea of God as a “handyman” and not our Father with whom we are in Partnership with. The result of this is that in the midst of the tasks of life, the busyness, the rush, the never-ending to-do lists, it is easy to have a “shopping list” during our daily prayers.
The fact is that if we kept reminding ourselves of the incredible power that is available to us through prayer, we would find it so easy to heed Paul’s prompting in 1 Thessalonians 5:17: “pray without ceasing”.
Prayer is the fundamental way in which we partner with God; sometimes it is the difference between life and death; it is the way we give Praise and Glory to our Lord.
We all know that over the ages there have been many great teachers and an abundance of Resources that can help us in our quiet time with the Lord. The aim of the GPRN website is to make some resources and teaching available to anyone who would like to embark on this journey with the Lord or put renewed effort into their prayer lives.
